Torsional Tests

With a torsion bar fixture, a special measuring system, it is possible to perform torsional tests on bar-shaped solid specimens. This fixture consists of two clamps to hold the specimen, usually to perform oscillatory tests. In most cases, these kinds of experiments are carried out to investigate the temperature-dependent behavior of solid specimens under constant dynamic-mechanical conditions.
